PRESS RELEASE

Businesses in Scotland to benefit from State Securities re-finance facility as part of ‘one-stop-shop’

asset finance service

Key points :
•  State Securities provides re-finance via Sale and Leaseback in Scotland as part of a ‘one-stop-shop’ asset finance service
   for Scottish companies
•  Re-finance can help restructure existing debts or increase cash flow

15th February 2006 : State Securities has financed assets for companies based in Scotland for the last 8 years using a traditional Hire Purchase or a Leasing agreement. Typically this has resulted in financing new or used vehicles or equipment for a variety of industries including forestry, haulage, engineering, printing, construction and hire companies.

Scottish law has always restricted State Securities’ traditional refinance product for use north of the border. However, after discussions with a set of large Edinburgh based lawyers, documentation is now in place to offer sale and leaseback in Scotland.

“This provides Scottish based intermediaries with a fantastic opportunity to offer a re-finance product to their clients in Scotland. Re-finance offers the client an influx of cash or a way of restructuring existing debt which can help in numerous ways, depending on the client’s circumstances. If the client needs extra cash then additional security can always be considered for an increased advance. Additionally, to increase cash flow we can offer factoring via our sister company, Five Arrows Commercial Group,” said Dave Williams, Glasgow based Account Manager.

Dave continued, “Scotland has a developing economy and we can now provide an extremely effective ‘one-stop-shop’ service for businesses, whatever their circumstances, that mainstream lenders are unable or unwilling to offer”.
